The Eagles’ PR Department Started a Twitter Account to Tell You Just the Sweetest Doug Pederson Facts

Well we got to do SOMETHING to fight his anti-Doug tide!

The Eagles PR department created their own Twitter account today… to Tweet exactly the same things they would otherwise Tweet on the team’s main account (@Eagles).

How did they start things off? You guessed it:

Few things:

  1. I love how they listed “quarterback” going back to, what, birth? Never mind the fact that, to make it seem longer, they increased the font size and line spacing to 2.5 listed the Dolphins and Packers twice, created separate line items for Pederson’s two third-rung coaching gigs in Philly, included Pederson’s World League and college teams, and the Eagles job which he officially started eight hours ago, for a grand total of 13 line items. SEE– DOUG HAS EXPERIENCE!
  2. His offense’s claim to fame? THEY DON’T TURN THE BALL OVER. Well, neither do upright washing machines… but that doesn’t mean they’d make for good coaches.
  3. I truly don’t get the point of a PR department having a Twitter account. It’s basically their job – along with the marketing department, I guess – to run the team’s main Twitter account, among other fan-facing mediums and platforms. You only need one. But at least the Eagles didn’t set their PR account to private so only credentialed media could follow it… which is exactly what the Phillies used to do (still do?). That’s the equivalent of science department having a morning prayer service. The two things are just fundamentally at odds.
