The good:

Everything else:

[Those were also different OT rules]

More from Roob:

And about Doug giving it away:

This wasn’t Doug Pederson’s finest day as a play caller. Too much horizontal, not enough vertical. This was a winnable game, but too many mistakes once they took that 10-point lead caught up with them in the second half and overtime. They had chances. A 3rd-and-2 early in the third quarter where they lost two yards. A 3rd-and-2 late in the fourth quarter where they lost two yards. A 3rd-and-4 where they dropped a pass. You can’t give the Cowboys that many chances, especially here, and the Cowboys showed why they haven’t lost since opening day. They took advantage of the opportunity the Eagles gave them and it got them to 6-1.

Jeff McLane on the receiving corps:

The bigger issues against Dallas seemed to be that the receivers couldn’t get open against man defense. The slants to Green-Beckham worked. But that’s about all he has at this point. He plays small for 6-5, 237 pounds. Why aren’t more jump balls and back shoulders thrown his direction? Could it be that he lacks instincts? Agholor caught a couple of short passes in traffic, but he just isn’t an imposing threat down the field. Huff is only on the field for screens and jet sweeps – and rightfully so. Matthews has been drifting the last several weeks. He had a career-high 11 catches, but for only 65 yards. He could have added about 20 yards, but he dropped a pass on a corner route that was perfectly placed. I’m not sure if Torrey Smith or whoever can solve all the Eagles’ woes at receiver, but if they want to make push for the playoffs they may need to mortgage a little of the future. You can always get a mid-round pick back before the draft.

David Murphy thinks there’s actually some good here:

But at some point this offseason, the coaches who keep telling you that their pass-catchers are good enough are going to gather in a conference room with the personnel men responsible for improving the roster, and unspoken among them will be the memory of what they witnessed in Sunday night’s 29-23 stinker in Big D.

That, right there, is the silver lining. While Dez Bryant almost single-handedly kept his team within striking distance, his counterparts on the opposite sideline turned the game into a clinic on why their bosses need to make finding a legitimate No. 1 receiver a priority in order to maximize the talent they have in their fireballing rookie quarterback.

Marcus Hayes somehow had a more forgiving take:

Is first-year head coach Doug Pederson a genius? Well, he is brave and he is innovative and he adjusts without pause, but too many of his decisions are too debatable. For instance, his call for an obvious screen to Darren Sproles in the fourth quarter cost the Eagles yards and a chance at a field goal that would have pushed the lead to 10: then, facing a 52-yard field goal, he punted and trusted his defense. The next drive ended on a play designed for . . . third-string tight end Trey Burton. He failed to call timeout with the Cowboys facing third-and-20 at their 18 with 21 seconds to play, holding all three timeouts. Incredible.

He’s a rookie. Rookies make mistakes.

And so did Mike Sielski:

Doug Pederson had given them that chance. His mistake ruined what could have been a great night for him and his team, but it was a mistake nonetheless. Yes, he may be genuine, and it might be his greatest strength as a new head coach, but like his team, he has a good bit of growing to do.

Seth Joyner, whose default mode is angry, is angry about Nelson Agholor:
