Before tonight’s game, it was announced that barring deep foul trouble or some kind of miracle, Nerlens Noel would be out of the rotation. Noel didn’t see the floor, but Joel Embiid (and to a much lesser extent, Jahlil Okafor) handled the Nets in a back-and-forth matchup that ended with a 108-107 Sixers win.

Embiid finished with 33 points (24 in the second half) in 27 minutes on 17 shots, adding on 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals, and a dive into the second row. Okafor pulled down 11 rebounds (6 offensive) while shooting 0/10 from the floor. Ersan Ilyasova also dropped 22 points on 4/7 from three, while the Sixers shot 43% from long-range as a team.

Embiid’s 33 points is the first 33+ point performance for the Sixers since January 2014 when…I don’t wanna say his name:

The Sixers face the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. Highlight clips after the jump.
