I wonder what went through Jack McCaffery’s mind before he fired out this beauty. Edge. They told me being edgy will save print. I know what will rabble the rousers– rip the consensus NBA rookie of the year in favor of his lesser yet impressive teammate! Hit ’em with the ink, Caffer!

Ironically, McCaffery cites Embiid’s absence as a reason to not give him the award. But his absence might be the best way to judge him. Without Embiid this year, the Sixers are 5-16, compared to 14-18 with him. Since Embiid went out after the Rockets game, the Sixers are 1-5. He has single handily changed the trajectory of the franchise, and it’s all the more impressive given the fact that he’s played only 32 games over the last three years. Good Tweet, Jack… ass.
