Basketball writer Mike O’Connor (@MOConnor_NBA) DELVED into Malik Monk’s game:

I disagree with none of this. [There’s much more in the thread from O’Connor.] I still think Josh Jackson could ultimately be the better player and that a Jackson-Lowry offseason addition pairing would be the best option. But Monk is the best fit, without question. The biggest thing – the only thing – working against the Sixers drafting him at three is that they would leave better all-around players on the board. Perhaps they shouldn’t overthink this. Absolutely try to trade back a pick or two if they take Monk, but take him either way.

On Monday, my Dad and I went down a Monk wormhole, and he’s fully sold. Doesn’t care about defense, dribbling or what have you. Monk can shoot. That’s all he wants. And in a league where distance shooting is increasingly important, Monk may be one of the best talents in recent memory in that regard. Can’t say I disagree with him.

On another note, Marc Stein reported that Bucks consultant Rod Thorn is considering hiring Ed Stefanski as the team’s GM. Haha. Remember, it could always be worse. Imagine living in Milwaukee, not being able to spell Wisconsin, and being a fan of a team controlled by Rod Thorn and Ed Stefanski.
