Adam Zagoria:

The source said Philadelphia, Phoenix and San Antonio have called regarding Porzingis. The Daily News also reported that Boston contacted the Knicks.

First of all, the Knicks are stupid and Phil Jackson is going to out-ego himself and crater the Knicks into obscurity for another decade. The best theory I’ve seen thus far is, surprisingly, form Evan Turner:

MEEP, MEEP!

Whatever Jackson’s motivation, the Sixers obviously have the assets to get something like this done. The question is, what does it take? The number one pick and Dario Saric could do it if the Knicks are hell-bent on getting rid of Porzingis, but is that worth it? I hate the notion of giving up the perfect fit for a player two years closer to free agency… however, trading for Porzingis and signing, say, Kyle Lowry is a win now, or win soon, move. Process folks would lose their shit, and I think I would too, but if I told you a week ago that the Sixers would come away with Porzingis and Lowry, you would’ve hugged me.

Besides the number one pick, there probably is a package the Sixers could put together, but it’s going to cost them their own number one pick next year and maybe one in 2020 or something. But the Knicks are reportedly interested in unloading Joakim Noah’s contract, which the Sixers could absolutely take on.

Anyway, I’m honestly torn over how much I’d give up to get Porzingis. As much as I like Saric, I’d think he’d have to be included in the deal. I don’t like the idea of trading the number one pick. That seems too greedy.
