Your Tuesday Morning Roundup
While you were sleeping, ESPN made history as they had Beth Mowins serve as the play-by-play voice for Monday’s Chargers-Broncos game alongside Rex Ryan. Mowins was the first woman since 1987 to call an NFL game and was the first female to ever broadcast a nationally-televised NFL game.
To no one’s surprise, I think, Mowins did a great job as she often does college football for the Mothership and her talents and professionalism translated into the NFL game as well:
History is made.

Unfortunately for Mowins, ESPN teamed her up with Rex Ryan and Sergio Dipp (more on him later), but I think if Mowins was able to be alongside a pro in the booth, she would be in the conversation as one of the more solid choices for a broadcast booth in the NFL game today.
