Former Eagle Passes Away at the Age of 30

Some sad news out of Hawaii today, where KITV 4 reports that former Eagles defensive end Daniel Te’o-Nesheim has died.
He was 30 years old and played four NFL seasons before returning home to coach at his high school alma mater, Hawaii Preparatory Academy.
Te’o-Nesheim was a star at the University of Washington and left in 2009 as the Huskies’ all-time sack leader. He was selected by the Birds in the 3rd round of the 2010 draft and played in six games as a rookie, hampered that season by a shoulder injury. He played three more years in Tampa Bay after leaving Philadelphia, starting 14 games in 2012 and logging four sacks and 40 combined tackles.
There’s no word right now on a cause of death.
