Your Friday Morning Roundup

All I got to say is wow. What a day we had yesterday.

It was sunny, a little cold, but memorable. 58 years in the making, and boy did we party our asses off.

Especially Jason Kelce, who dressed like a Mummer, dropped multiple f-bombs on live TV, chugged beers, rode a bike, crowd surfed, and gave us the greatest speech in American history.

Could we have a mayoral war? I’d vote for Kelce in the next mayoral election.

Meanwhile at Fox 29 today:

Other than that, beers were thrown:

And Nick Foles didn’t die:

Sidney Jones also lost his phone, then got it back.

Attendance was an estimated…700,000, according to crowd-safety experts in England? Gotta be fake as hell, and they don’t know our fans.

Check out our live commentary, as well as one from PhillyVoice. There’s always some golden tweets as well.

And get our new shirts!

The Roundup:

There was one bit of bad news for the Eagles. Former quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo will become Minnesota’s next offensive coordinator. Hate to see him go, but hopefully he’s it.

Rick Lovato explains that Doug Pederson held a FAKE WALK-THROUGH the day before the Super Bowl if the Patriots decided to cheat.

That wasn’t all from yesterday. The Flyers had a game in South Philly against the Montreal Canadiens, which resulted in a 5-3 win thanks to two Travis Konecny goals.

Claude Giroux (1G, 2As) and Shayne Gostisbehere (3As) added three points as well. Brian Elliott stopped 25 of 28 shots for his second win since returning from a lower-body injury.

They currently have a three-point edge over Columbus for the top wild card spot, one point behind New Jersey for third in the Metropolitan division, and two points behind Pittsburgh for second. The team resumes play Saturday night in Arizona against the Coyotes. They take on Vegas the following night.

The Sixers are back in action tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Wells Fargo Center. Tip off is scheduled for 7 PM.

Ben Simmons got robbed again of an All-Star nod. Charlotte’s Kemba Walker will replace Kristaps Porzingis. A member of the Australian House of Representatives was fuming.

In college hoops, Towson rallied from an 18-point deficit and edged Drexel in overtime 94-92.

Tonight, Penn takes on Dartmouth at 7 PM on ESPN3. Saturday, Villanova hosts Butler at noon on Fox, Temple takes on South Florida at noon on ESPNU, St. Joe’s hosts UMass, Drexel visits the College of Charleston, and Penn visits Harvard at 4 PM, and La Salle takes on Saint Louis for an 8 PM tip.

In other sports news, the NBA Trade Deadline was wild, especially with the Cavaliers:

Other notable trades:

You can thank an agent’s funeral for D Wade’s return to Miami.

Magic Johnson thinks the IT trade will help the Lakers take the next step forward. Maybe.

That’s because IT doesn’t want to come off the bench, and if so, would rather take a buyout. This league.

Jimmy Garoppolo is staying in San Francisco. The 49ers locked him up with a five-year, $137.5 million deal.

The Olympics began. That’s cool I guess?

Georgia Tech head coach Josh Pastner denies sexual assault allegations.
