Malcolm Jenkins, Stating the Obvious

In Colin Kaepernick’s collusion case, exhibit A could be game film of Blake Bortles.
Exhibit B could be game film of Nathan Peterman.
And exhibit C could be game film of whatever other quarterback has recently underwhelmed to the point of benching.
Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins said as much when when discussing issues between himself, Kaepernick, and Eric Reid on Wednesday:
#Eagles Malcolm Jenkins was speaking about the Players Coalition and noting his constant support for Colin Kaepernick when he added: “I can turn on the tape this week of our opponent (the #Jaguars) and see that Colin Kaepernick deserves a job.”

That might end up on the Jaguars’ bulletin board this week, or the bulletin board inside one of the locker rooms at Wembley Stadium, as the Eagles and Jags prepare to play football and eat pies in London. I think it’s it safe to say that the 3-4 Eagles and 3-4 Jags are two of the biggest disappointments to grace the United Kingdom since Arsenal last took the field.
But Jenkins isn’t wrong. Colin Kaepernick is obviously a better player than some of the quarterbacks who have started in the NFL over the past two seasons. I think you can believe that from a strictly on-field perspective regardless of what you think about Kaepernick himself or the way he handled his social justice protest.

Translation: Blake Bortles is shit, Cody Kessler is shit, Colin Kaepernick got a raw deal
I wrote up the Kaepernick thing last year in a column called “Another Column on Anthem Protests, and Why Everyone is Missing the Point.” Stunningly, liberals thought it was written with a conservative slant and conservatives thought it was written with a liberal slant.
