Brewer’s departure is interesting. He’s going to Louisville to become Scott Satterfield’s wide receiver coach. Satterfield is the former Appalachian State coach who is replacing Bobby Petrino, while Brewer spent the last six seasons at UNC, so there’s a North Carolina connection there. Brewer coached Mack Hollins during his time with the Tar Heels but lasted only one season in Philadelphia. I don’t how Brewer was viewed by the Eagles, but some folks have pointed out that Eagles receivers sometimes looked to have trouble getting lined up properly this season. He also had to help Golden Tate figure out the offense on the fly.
The Wilson and Chung news is interesting because both the offensive and defensive lines have been very good over the past few seasons. Wilson had been here since 2016. Chung worked alongside Jeff Stoutland with the O-Line and had also been with the team since 2016, which was his second stint at the NovaCare Complex. He previously was an offensive line assistant from 2010 to 2012.
Doug Pederson confirmed Tuesday that Mike Groh, Jim Schwartz, and Dave Fipp will all return in 2019.
