Another rain delay, another Phillies win.

This delay went an hour and 39 minutes, but the Phils came out smashing with 11 runs in the first five innings and five in the fifth en route to an 11-4 win.

Bryce Harper had a really big night, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs, two off a home run in the third and another two off a double in the fourth. He may have broken out of his early-season slump. In his last 11 games, he’s batting .318 (14-for-44) with five doubles, three home runs, 13 RBIs and a 1.007 OPS.

Harper also wasn’t the only one to send a baseball into the stands last night. That fifth inning saw back-to-back home runs from Scott Kingery (two-run shot) and Maikel Franco before Aaron Nola was walked. Andrew McCutchen brought him home with another two-run dinger.

Meanwhile, Nola had another solid start. He went seven innings and gave up one run off four hits with eight strikeouts and three walks on 102 pitches. He improved his record to 6-0 despite some of the early season struggles.

The Phils look to sweep the Cardinals this afternoon at 1:05 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia. Jerad Eickhoff looks to bounce back after a couple of bad starts against Dakota Hudson.

Prior to the game, Gabe Kapler joined Angelo Cataldi on WIP to discuss the team and briefly touched on the Odubel Herrera situation.
