Zeke Elliott met with Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday to discuss the May incident in which he shoved a security guard at a Las Vegas music festival.

The Dallas Cowboys running back was handcuffed and detained at the time, but not arrested. He can, however, still be fined or suspended under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Elliott wrote this message on social media, after the jump:

“I need to work hard to ensure I do not put myself in compromised situations in the future. I am rededicating myself to use all of the resources that the league has made available. But in the end, it is up to me and I am determined not to be in this position again.”

Look, I appreciate Zeke’s efforts to improve himself as a human being.

However –

It’s not enough. He must be suspended for the entirety of the 2019 season. Only then can he truly learn from his reprehensible actions.
