Your Friday Morning Roundup
It’s honestly great to have the Eagles back.
Training camp got underway yesterday afternoon for the Birds, who looked better than expected in terms of guys that were banged up. Jalen Mills was the only player on the PUP list, but he can be activated at any time before the start of the regular season.
It’s the first time I’m not at training camp after taking part for the last three editions. It was fun watching practice and seeing who was good and who wasn’t. Plus the access was nice, to talk to players and coaches and getting to know the players a little more, especially those that were fighting for a spot.
But for now, it’s seeing what happens from a distance. Guys like Carson Wentz and Miles Sanders reportedly looked impressive, Zach Brown was part of the first team linebacker group with Nigel Bradham being a limited participant, and Brandon Brooks and Ronald Darby were also limited but didn’t join Mills on the PUP list. And Darren Sproles still looks like Darren Sproles.
Camp resumes this morning, the first for a select group of fans to watch.
Elsewhere, the team hired Catherine Raiche as their Football Operations Coordinator.
The team also took down the wind turbines at the top of the Linc.
And finally, Wawa tells Eagles fans to chill in a very polite way.
Overall, it’s better than what the rest of the division is dealing with, especially the Cowboys.
