Apparently Antonio Brown Threatened to Hit Mike Mayock in the Face
Well, that escalated quickly!
Shortly after Antonio Brown took to Instagram to express his displeasure with a fine levied by Raiders General Manager and Philly native Mike Mayock, the pair reportedly got into an altercation at practice, per Adam Schefter, Ian Rapoport, and others:
The Next Chapter: Antonio Brown and GM Mike Mayock got into it Wednesday, and the team is now planning to suspend its star wide receiver, league sources tell ESPN.

More on #Raiders WR Antonio Brown and Mike Mayock yesterday: It did not get physical, sources say. But after a screaming match, Brown told Mayock that he would hit him in the face and then punted the ball… and said, Fine me for that. 💸💸💸

Mayock is 61 years old, but I think he might be able to take Brown. Mike is 6’2″ and played ball at The Haverford School back in the 70s before heading to Boston College, so I would not underestimate the physical tools at his disposal.
So what happens next?
More from Schefty:
There are those around the league who now believe the Raiders could suspend Antonio Brown with the idea of trying to void the $30.125 million of guaranteed money in his contract.
Which obviously would end his time in Oakland.

You can’t make this shit up. First the helmet nonsense, then the cryotherapy mishap, and now this.
But wait, the story gets even more ridiculous.
Check this out:
One of the players holding Antonio Brown back from the near-altercation with GM Mike Mayock was … Vontaze Burfict.

Burfict, of course, was the guy who put the ridiculous hit on Brown back in the day, the one that knocked AB out of the 2015 playoff game with a concussion. Now the guys are teammates.. or maybe not, if Brown ends up getting suspended and playing somewhere else instead.
What a mess.
Edit:
Mayock just spoke –
Short and sweet from #Raiders GM Mike Mayock: “Antonio Brown is not in the building today. He won’t be practicing.” Mayock says when the time is appropriate he’ll share more information. @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/tIoCsGtano
