Tool’s Drummer Wore a Custom Sixers Jersey During Philly Gig

via Youtube

Tool played the Wells Fargo Center last night in support of their new album “Fear Inoculum,” which I think is the first disc they’ve released in something like 47 years.

Drummer Danny Carey is a lifelong basketball fan who can regularly be seen wearing hoops gear, and Monday night he was sporting this #3 Sixers jersey for the local crowd:

Not sure what it says on the back, though I am “efforting” that information, as we used to say in the television business.

Somebody on Sixers Reddit (user u/Cherrubim) shared another shot from the stands that looks like it was taken after the set’s final song:

Right, anyway, thought that was cool. I’ll use any excuse possible to write about Tool.

Here’s the setlist from last night, and if you don’t want it spoiled because you’re going to the Atlantic City show on Friday I’ll put a bunch of periods in here as a buffer so  I don’t ruin it for you –

  1. I saw 3rd eye blind at parx the other Saturday and it was fuckiing awful. Left it early to drink and put a large drunk wager on the patriots-3 against the birds . Beautiful sports book & c0cktail waitresses there

  2. Jason Myrt was in the cheap seats while Cuz was back stage getting first pick of the groupies.

  3. Nothing lamer than a band that plays the same (surely tired) setlist repeatedly, so edgy

  4. I think their name is Truck or Caboose or something like that.

  5. Aside from everyone in Radiohead prob being assholes, they make quality music. Just ask Mikey Miss!
