Flyers Lend Equipment to General Motors to Help With Face Mask Production
Here’s a short feel-good story.
General Motors recently turned one of their decommissioned plants outside of Detroit into a facility to produce face masks for workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of a combined effort, the Red Wings contacted the Flyers’ equipment team, which loaned out the high-tech sanitization machines that are used to clean hockey equipment. With the Blackhawks also chipping in, the machines are now being used to sanitize new masks before they’re sent to hospitals and other medical facilities. GM is currently able to produce more than three million masks per month.

Nice team effort here.
