Jerry Jeudy Left Knee Update: Nick Saban's Comments
Wednesday we chronicled the he said/she said pseudo-conflict that originated from Natalie Egenolf’s report of Jerry Jeudy having “knee issues” that might move him down the draft board. Natalie’s claim was backed by Derrick Gunn and Adam Schefter, though Schefty didn’t think it would have “a dramatic effect” on the Alabama wide receiver’s draft stock.
Later in the day, Ian Rapoport shared a doctor’s letter explaining that the knee was fine, while Jeudy’s agent disputed the claims and said that “a team picking late in the 1st round started the rumor in hopes of getting him to drop.”
This morning, Jeudy’s college coach, Nick Saban, weighed in:
#Alabama coach Nick Saban appeared on SiriusXM NFL Radio this morning. Was irked by rumored concerns over Jerry Jeudy knee issue from 2018. “Jeudy has nothing wrong with him. Absolutely nothing. He never missed practice here. He played in every game.” #Denver7 #Broncos pic.twitter.com/TqTChrPk47

Alright.
The only way to settle this is a three vs. three wrestling match. Perhaps we’ll do a “Boneyard” match or recreate the dumpster match between the New Age Outlaws, Cactus Jack, and Terry Funk. In the red corner, it’s Natalie, Gunner, and Schefter. In the blue corner, it’s Nick Saban, Jerry Jeudy’s agent, and Dr. Lyle Cain.
Whose side are you on?
