We’re less than seven hours from the NFL draft, and mocks continue to roll in.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has the Eagles taking Jalen Reagor at #21:

“This might be a surprising selection to some, but sources say the Eagles are enamored with Reagor’s speed and explosive potential as a three-level target for Carson Wentz.”

Zierlein was ahead of the curve when reporting that the Eagles were interested in trading up for Wentz back in 2016, as Bleeding Green Nation’s Brandon Lee Gowton notes.

For what it’s worth, Zierlein has Justin Jefferson going to Jaguars one pick prior, so Reagor would be his fifth receiver off the board. He’s got CeeDee Lamb, Henry Ruggs, and Jerry Jeudy going 12, 13 and 14.

Reagor is an interesting case study. During his freshman season, he was obviously further down the pecking order but still caught eight touchdown passes and went for 576 yards on 33 receptions, with the talented Kenny Hill throwing him the ball. Then Reagor’s numbers went up as a sophomore but back down as a junior while TCU’s quarterback play took a step backwards with Max Duggan, Mike Collins, and Shawn Robinson.

Big 12 defenses stink, and TCU fell off when Hill graduated, but Reagor still put together a pretty impressive highlight reel. He’s one of those guys who you try to get the ball in his hands any way possible, versus a dude who just lines up at one spot and does one thing well. The Eagles would have to find the best way to use him instead of just throwing him on the field and asking him to find the game.

But he’s fast, an explosive guy who makes things happen. The Eagles really lack a dynamic playmaker and Reagor would fit the bill, I just wonder if they could trade back a few spots and get him later in the first round.
