Phillies Send Nick Pivetta to Boston, Get a Couple of Relievers

Matt Klentak is wheeling and dealing!
Not really, but he made another fringe move this evening to improve the bullpen, with Nick Pivetta on his way to the Red Sox.
Here’s the deal:

Thus marks the end of the Nick Pivetta era. He finishes his Phillies career with a 5.50 ERA over 396 innings, with 9.6 SO/9 number. He was sent down to the minors after three appearances this season.
Workman compiled a 4.05 ERA in seven Boston games while Hembree had a 5.59 ERA and was 2-0. These two, along with the earlier addition of David Hale, should help bolster a bullpen that sports the worst ERA (8.07) in Major League Baseball.
Also, we should not be surprised that they got cash back in this deal to stay under the tax. Stunner.
