PointsBet Strikes Deal To Become Offiical Sports Betting Partner of NBC Sports
PointsBet, which is currently available to bettors in states such as New Jersey and Indiana, has struck a deal with NBC Sports that figures to bring the growing sportsbook brand significant national exposure.
NBC Universal and PointsBet announced Thursday a deal that makes burgeoning sportsbook brand the official betting partner of NBC Sports.
In terms of marketing, PointsBet had previously flown under the radar in relation to competitors such as FOX Bet, FanDuel Sportsbook, and DraftKings Sportsbook, but this deal figures to significantly raise the company’s profile with sports fans and sports bettors alike.
The strategic plan, which goes into effect immediately, will place PointsBet’s sports betting promos and odds across several key NBC Sports properties, including its eight regional networks.
In the Philadelphia market, expect to see to PointsBet featured in NBCSP’s pregame and postgame shows, as well as potentially in its broadcasts of Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers games.

Here is PointsBet Managing Director and Group CEO Sam Swanel on the deal:
NBC Sports, an iconic brand and holder of the largest sports audience in the U.S., brings significant credibility and trust to PointsBet’s operations. Through the NBC Sports partnership, PointsBet gains access to market-leading linear assets which span 184 million viewers and digital assets which span 60 million monthly active users. These assets will act as the cornerstone of our marketing strategy and combined with our in-house technology and products, as well as our talented and experienced team, will deliver outstanding client acquisition and retention efficiency as we scale rapidly over the next five years. NBCUniversal’s decision to take an equity stake in PointsBet illustrates the alignment of our strategies, the trust across teams, and our shared belief that the U.S. gaming market is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The partnership comes at an ideal time for PointsBet as it is expected to soon announce its presence in additional states where online sports betting is legal.
Expansion Coming For PointsBet
PointsBet is soon expected to join the Illinois online sports betting scene thanks to a market access deal with Hawthorne Race Course.
Also of note, PointsBet recently became the official gaming partner of the Nuggets, Avalanche, Mammoth, and Pepsi Center in Colorado, preceding its eventual launch out west.
Though no exact timetable for a launch has been set in either state, many industry experts believe it could come at some point leading up to or early on in the 2020 NFL regular season.
