Dan Orlovsky is Putting Carson Wentz in the MVP Conversation
Credit where it’s due –
Dan Orlovsky has been consistent with his praise for Carson Wentz. He’s arguably been his #1 supporter in the national media for the last two seasons now. And when Wentz played like dog doo doo this past year, Orlovsky did call him out on it, so it’s not like he’s doing the Skip Bayless routine. There’s a little more substance here.
This one, however, is a STRONG take:
Find someone who believes in you like @danorlovsky7 believes in Carson Wentz 😬

Indy is a good team, but are they tier 1? They’ve got a stout defense. Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines is the best 1-2 punch Carson has had since LeGarrette Blount was an Eagle. He’ll have T.Y. Hilton, a little older, but still very good. He’ll have Zach Pascal and Michael Pittman Jr. and a crop of good tight ends.
And then you think about the AFC South, and nobody knows what the Jaguars will look like under Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence. Houston is a mess. Tennessee is good, but beatable. Carson could be primed for a big bounce-back year, but it seems like a bit much to think he’d be in the MVP conversation.
Here’s Orlovsky delivering the same take on ESPN’s terrible morning show, Get Up:

We’ll make note of this take and come back to revisit it next season.
