Aaron Nola Is Back With Phils, Will Pitch Tuesday Night at Yankees
Some good news on the Aaron Nola front.
I’m not down at Citizens Bank Park this afternoon because I’m keeping the lights on here, keeping track of all the hottest and hard-hitting Damian Lillard rumors, but you know who is down there? Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer is down there, presumably roasting in the July heat, and he has this bit of information:
Aaron Nola will start Tuesday for the Phillies at Yankee Stadium. He’s with the team today at Citizens Bank Park and has been cleared to return from COVID-19 list. Nola did not test positive but was out after being a close contact to Alec Bohm.

Tuesday will mark 14 days since Nola’s last start. The Phillies will hope the two weeks of rest spark a second half resurgence from Nola, who holds a 4.53 ERA in 18 starts this season.
In case you missed it, I wrote about Nola’s first half struggles. You can read that piece here.
