Sport ownership news:

The Sportico article is behind a paywall, so not sure what else is detailed in there, but with Blitzer acquiring a stake in the Guardians, that’ll be three underperforming franchises on this side of the Mississippi. The Devils stink, the Sixers can’t get past round two, and then you can throw Crystal Palace in there, too. CPFC has been a mid-table Premier League team for some time now.

For what it’s worth, Blitzer was linked to Real Salt Lake as well, of Major League Soccer, which currently doesn’t have an owner and is being operated by the league.

From a recent column by Pablo Maurer and Sam Stejskal:

In addition to co-owning the NBA’s Sixers and the NHL’s Devils, Blitzer holds a stake in Premier League club Crystal Palace, German Bundesliga side FC Augsburg, Belgian first-division team Waasland-Beveren and Dutch club ADO Den Haag through his company Bolt Football Holdings. He also owns a portion of a variety of other properties through the Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment group, which he co-owns with fellow 76ers and Devils partner Josh Harris.

That’s all good, now we need the Sixers to trade Ben Simmons.
