Wednesday began the early signing period in college football. It runs about 48 hours and will come to an end on Friday.

A bunch of big names made their commitments today, but the biggest news is that a five star cornerback, who is widely-regarded as the top recruit in the entire country, spurned FLORIDA STATE TO GO TO JACKSON STATE instead:

This is insanity in college football. Hunter had his pick of schools and was recruited by all of the top programs. He had been committed to FSU for a long time, more than a year, and then today decided he was going to Jackson State instead, a HBCU where Deion Sanders is the head coach. Deion, as you know, is a famous Florida State alum.

That’s what makes this thing even crazier. FSU had Hunter locked in. Georgia and others were trying to poach him. Then he turned down FSU to play for a non-Power Five school where a superstar alumnus is the head coach.

A SHOCKER in the college football world!
