Big Fendi Says the Sixers Have NOT Invited Him to Ring the Bell
Remember last Tuesday? Somebody put together a petition to get Big Fendi to ring the Sixers bell before tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Big Fendi is the guy from the “biggest hater” internet meme. He manages Nicki Minaj and some other hip hop artists, and became this viral sensation dude when he shared a picture of himself at a rival’s funeral. So when Ben Simmons was traded to Brooklyn, Joel Embiid tweeted out the Big Fendi meme and the petition was started.
However, according to Scoop B at Bally Sports, Fendi says he has not received an invitation to ring the bell:
Joel Embiid tweeted a pic of @bigfendi as a joke wgen Ben Simmons was traded to the Nets. Since then, a petition was created to get Fendi to ring the Liberty Bell before tomorrow's game – https://t.co/MIdEqlIuLt

More from Scoop:
Joel Embiid’s Big Fendi meme tweet is “the biggest fuck you without saying fuck you,” @bigfendi tells me by phone. Fendi tells me that when he saw the Liberty Bell petition: “I was getting my suit ready. I put my suit in the cleaners.
…
Fendi says he’s spoken to 76ers owner @michaelrubin about ringing the Liberty Bell: ” I told him the whole ring the bell shit is crazy.”
The petition received about 6,700 signatures, which I think is more than enough to justify bringing Big Fendi to South Philadelphia. Dude took his suit to the dry cleaner, for God’s sake. He’s ready. I’ll even throw in 20 bucks for his travel expenses. That should cover about two gallons of gas, right? Heyo! A gas joke.
But anyway, we really need to get the Sixers moving on this. The game is tonight and Big Fendi has not been invited. Surely Josh Harris or Michael Rubin can get a helicopter to Big Fendi and have him here in time. If they used the chopper for that overrated rapper who loves the New England Patriots, they can do it again.
