Bryson Stott Sure Looks Ready
Bryson Stott began his day with two base hits, which put him at a .550 average for the spring.
.550!
Watch the young man continue to rake:

It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Bryson Stott isn’t in the Phillies lineup next Friday. https://t.co/BmMPmG7900

Raise your hand if you had Bryson Stott forcing his way into the opening day lineup.
….
Yeah, me neither. But he’s the story of the spring, just playing out of his mind right now and giving the Phillies a nice young positive in addition to their free agent acquisitions of Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber. Keep in mind, Stott is still only 24 years old with zero Major League experience, so there’s always the thought of us getting ahead of ourselves here. He’s also had more time in team-lead workouts, which goes back to February. That’s a lockout quirk there and a unique wrinkle in the Stott/Alec Bohm storyline.
Regardless of the circumstances, however, he’s not leaving the Phillies with much choice, is he? This is what we call taking the bull by the horns:

Hope I’m not jinxing it here.
