Eagles Make their First Big Free Agency Signing with Haason Reddick
The Eagles made their first splash in free agency, signing former Temple University (a basketball school) pass rusher Haason Reddick for 3 yrs/$45 million:
The #Eagles have agreed to terms with pass rusher Haason Reddick, source says. Three years, $45 million with $30 million fully guaranteed at signing. Max value $49.5 million.
The Camden native and former #Temple Owl is coming home.

Only $30 million in guaranteed money for arguably a top-5 pass rusher in the last two years? Sign me up. For a sec I thought Howie had fallen asleep at the wheel when Doug Pederson snatched up Christian Kirk from right under our noses. Turns out he was planning a homecoming party for the Camden native:

This is a good stat. I like this stat. I get the feel good chemicals through my body when I read this stat. More stats like this:
NFL sack leaders in last two seasons:
1. T.J. Watt – 37.5
2. Myles Garrett – 28.0
3. Trey Hendrickson – 27.5
4. Aaron Donald – 26.0
5. Haason Reddick – 23.5— Dave Zangaro (@DZangaroNBCS) March 14, 2022
Is 23.5 sacks in the last two years good? That sounds like it’s pretty good. The Eagles haven’t had a player with double digit sacks since Fletcher Cox had 10.5 in 2018. Is Josh Sweat and Haason Reddick the new Clyde Simmons and Reggie White? Will Jonathan Gannon be able to scheme? How will JJ Redick already playing in Philly affect the way your dad texts you during the game when Reddick with two D’s makes a play? All important questions.
Daniel Jones is currently trying to wrap his tiny hands around his knees as he lays in the fetal position right now:
