Eagles Reportedly Did Make a Trade Offer for Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is a Denver Bronco. It was the big breaking news on Tuesday. 94 WIP went into DEFCON 5 mode as a result of a non-Philly move creating a SEISMIC shift in the Eagles hypothetical QB situation topic.
Anyway, were the Birds interested in Russ? Apparently so, according to Broncos Insider Benjamin Allbright, who had Jake Heaps from Seattle Sports 710 on:
Confirms Russ wouldn’t waive no trade after offers from WAS and Philly…. https://t.co/9R8Hud5Roz

Brandon Gowton over at Bleeding Green transcribed a portion of the interview:
“The reason why this [deal] happened so quickly and progressed quickly is because, one, Denver was working on this behind the scenes for a while now.
The other reason is because the Seahawks were limited, guys. There’s not real leverage if there’s only a certain amount of teams that Russell Wilson’s actually interested in or be willing to waive his no-trade clause for.
He turned down the Washington [Commanders] offer. He turned down an offer from Philly during the Combine.
And the Denver situation was the clear-cut, number one choice for him going into all these other teams.”
For further confirmation, Rob Maaddi wrote this on Twitter as well:
Reason Russell Wilson didn’t want to go to Philly or Washington was more culture than location. #Eagles fans won’t be surprised. … He ends up in tougher division, which he is used to coming from NFC West.
No doubt, some bozo will call a radio station and say “Howie Roseman should have traded for Russell Wilson,” but you can’t trade for a guy who doesn’t want to be here. Obviously Denver was a team that Wilson identified. If he didn’t want to come to Philly, so be it. Eagles fans should at least be happy that he didn’t go to a division rival, or stay in the NFC. Consider that the Seahawks probably preferred moving him to the AFC anyway, right? He’s now in the juggernaut AFC West, and will face Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes, and Derek Carr twice a year.
Now we will shift gears to dumb ass Deshaun Watson rumors, and/or listen to people beat the drum for Kenny Pickett or Malik Willis. We’ll take your phone calls after the break. But first, a word from our sponsor, Bradford White water heaters.
