Mets Fan Says Phillies Crowd Threw Beer and Put Him in a Chokehold
The Phillies came from behind to beat the Mets on Monday. You love to see it.
But this guy does not love to see it. User “brandonsilk” on TikTok says Phillies fans threw beer on him and his dad:
@brandonsilk Philadelphia Phillies fans are trash, all I did was support my team @mets #fy #sports #baseball #mets
Couple thoughts here:
One, I like how he says “no offense” then proceeds to explain how the entire Phillies fan base is trash.
Two, he talks about making the drive to Citi Field, and his profile says he’s from Pennsylvania, so he’s some sort of displaced Mets fan and quite possibly a poser. Maybe his dad was into the Mets growing up, maybe the family moved down here, etc, but he is a Mets fan living in PA, if that means anything.

There does not appear to be video of this incident anywhere, but IF TRUE, Crossing Broad does not support the throwing of beer on opposing fans, and/or putting them in chokeholds. That shit crosses the line. Perhaps footage will surface of this incident and we can corroborate in a journalistic fashion. Fair and balanced.
For what it’s worth, TikTok user “ghettowatermelon69420” replied in the comments section with this:
Now things are getting interesting. What if “brandonsilk” was talking spicy? Does it justify spicy back talk? And even if he’s not “build (sic) for the city,” does that justify the ALLEGED beer throwing and choke holding?
