The Eagles cut veteran safety Jaquiski Tartt, which should solidify Reed Blankenship’s roster spot. Tartt was here on a one-year deal and Blankenship is an undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee.

Then we got this:

Need Quaski to spill the beans here. What’s up man? Hopefully this isn’t the precursor to Orlando Scandrick and Will Parks, version three. Public gripes and cryptic tweets. Next thing you know, Tartt is gonna be sitting next to Skip Bayless and talking all sorts of shit (unless the Niners bring him back).

With his departure, the Eagles safety depth chart includes Anthony Harris, Marcus Epps, Blankenship, K’Von Wallace, and Andre Chachere. We’ll see who makes the 53-man, but those last two guys are special teamers at this point and the safety position continues to look like the biggest concern out of all of the position groups on either side of the ball. Epps is being backed to take the next step this season, and maybe he will, but this still looks a little uncertain on paper.
