Jerry Jones announced after the Tampa loss that Dak Prescott needs thumb surgery and will be out “several weeks” –

Mike McCarthy called it a “significant hand injury” when he talked to the press, mentioning there was still limited info since Dak hadn’t seen a doctor yet:

Can’t believe this is how people in Texas treat wounded veterans:

Until the Cowboys get word I guess this all depends on your definition of “several.” “Several” to me means three or four. If it is four weeks, Dak’s first game back would be against the Eagles. Injured thumb or not, the Cowboys offense looked disgusting. After kicking a field goal on the first drive they went Punt, Punt, INT, Punt, Punt, Turnover on Downs, Punt, ToD, ToD. The Cowboys were the only team to not score a touchdown in Week 1. I guess that’s what happens when you trade your best WR and let Cedrick Wilson walk in free agency while Michael Gallup recovers from an ACL injury with no one to replace him.

The Cowboys have the Bengals, Giants, Commies, and Rams the next four weeks. If they escape with a 2-2 record that’s a win.

Let’s go to AT&T stadium to see how Cowboys fans are handling the news:

UPDATE: The injury is 6-8 weeks and the Eagles are now in the drivers seat of the NFC East:
