Nick Sirianni went ballistic on the sidelines Sunday night, telling the Cowboys to fuck off:

He got so mad he turned yellow there. Looking a little jaundiced! Could be scurvy. Get this man a celebratory Miller Lite and an IV filled with orange juice.

By the way, look at Big Dom DiSandro in that clip. You know this guy is ready to throw down when necessary. This is the look of a man who is ready to absolutely clobber someone if Nick Sirianni gives him the signal:

“Hey boss, you want me to fuck ’em up?”

For real though, the Sirianni passion is what you love to see. This guy obviously cares about his players, and Mike Garafolo, who is a local NFL insider and much better than Mets fan Ian Rapoport, asked Sirianni about this after the game:

There was about a minute to go, and NBC zoomed in on you. It looked like when they called a timeout you weren’t happy with it. (Mike Garafolo)

NICK SIRIANNI: Oh, no. Not about the timeout. I was just mad about — I’m always going to stick up for our guys. I get animated. He should have called timeout right there, right, to keep the game going.

I was mad about the extracurricular activity. Hey, I’m always going to stick up for our guys. You saw me, you may have seen me in the Jets game this preseason and they hit Jalen late out of bounds and I reacted very similar. I’m sure we weren’t angels in that confrontation there. I’m sure we had something to do with that a little bit as well.

And there was a little scuffle right there, and I’m just going to stick up for our guys. That’s just who I am. I love these guys. This is my family. I have a great family at home, great parents, great wife, great kids, great brothers, but this is my other family.

Just like when my brother’s team was 0-2 to start off and somebody was making fun of my brother when I was in 6th grade when he was a senior and I stuck up for him in that scenario, I’m going to stick up for my guys in this scenario.

I know they know I got their back. I know they got my back, and that’s what a team is. I love being part of a team. It’s so special. I’m 41 years old and still part of a team. That’s unbelievable and that’s a great feeling.

It’s such a simple message, but it resonates. The coach has the players’ backs. In turn, they’ve shown buy-in and will play hard for Sirianni. This is how every employee/employer and player/coach relationship should work. It’s about RECIPROCITY. If you give a shit about me, I’ll give a shit about you. We’re riding down a two-way street here with a 6-0 record and pit stop at the bye week.
