Kane Kalas Drops an Operatic/Marching Band Version of Fly Eagles Fly
A twist on Fly Eagles Fly from Kane Kalas:
Kane is Harry’s son, but you already knew that. He’s got a great voice and is working on an album called High Hopes which is a tribute to his dad and the city of Philadelphia, slated for an April release.
Andrew Porter wrote about this a few weeks ago for Audacy:
“…the name of the album is High Hopes as a tribute to dad and it has a bunch of the songs that he loved, a bunch of Sinatra stuff on there.”
“It’s also kind of a tribute to the city of Philadelphia, which is where I grew up. I’m using all local musicians, the studio is local. So I’m hoping to have potentially kind of local, bigger name people in music involved. So it’s been great.”
There have been many remixes of Fly Eagles Fly over the years. Go Go Gadjet did their “high energy” remix back in the day. I’m also partial to the death metal cover, as performed by Cannibal Corpse guitarist and huge Birds fan Erik Rutan back in 2018. If the Eagles win on Sunday, I’ll do the grindcore version of Fly Eagles Fly, which will basically just be gravity blasts and incomprehensible screaming. It’ll be sick.
