Darick Hall Needs Thumb Surgery
Well this sucks:
Darick Hall will have surgery — probably Wednesday. Torn ligament in his right thumb. Looking at a few months down.

I wonder how creative the Phillies will get now. Is it #1Bohmszn? Schwarbs has played 75 innings at first in his career, so maybe they’ll work him in. Could we see them try to turn Nick Castellanos into a 1B? I mean the dude has turned into a Gold Glove RF, who says he can’t continue? Those are my best bets if they’re trying to keep as much pop in the lineup as they can until Hall gets back. Rob Thomson said Bohm could get first baseman duties against lefties:
Rob Thomson says Kody Clemens will play at first. He considers Alec Bohm his third baseman. Alec may go to first vs lefties

Today we’ll get Kody Clemens:

This’ll be a fun Opening Day roster to look back on in 10 years. Like that 2012 lineup when John Mayberry started for the injured Ryan Howard.
What a series of unfortunate events being down to your third stringer six games into the season. We could whine and complain, but that would make us 49ers fan. Next man up attitude. This lineup is still good enough to sweep the Reds.
