This the first time we’ve seen the big man move since last Thursday. Do I see some knee flexion?!?! Looks pretty spry to me. Is this just Doc being strategic in his media availability? Doc could be bluffing.
Also, don’t forget the Sixers are 11-5 without him this year. Were only four of those wins against playoff teams? Yes. Were two of those playoff teams (the Nets and Hawks) resting their starters at the end of the year? Yes. But don’t let the facts get in the way of a good record. I’m an optimist. All I see is 11-5 without Embiid and I’m not sweating whatever call the Sixers docs make for Game 1. Next man up. Everyone knows Doc Rivers is a top-15 coach. You could argue an understaffed Doc Rivers is top-10.
