Report: Joel Embiid's Status May Not Be Known Until Monday
Joel Embiid update, well, kind of:
I’m told Joel Embiid’s status for Game 1 in Boston Monday is still not known after meeting with doctors & may not be known until Sunday/Monday
It will depend on how his sprained LCL responds and feels the next few days. There is hope he can play early in the series with a brace pic.twitter.com/4oQ5F63i7J

Trea Young’s Game 5 performance looks more and more important for the Sixers as reports about Embiid’s knee remain cautious. Monday will be day 10 of Embiid’s recovery from a LCL sprain and right now the betting markets reflect the uncertainty. Draftkings has the Sixers as 7.5 point dogs and Boston is -310 to take the series.
Live look at Sixers fans:

If you need something positive to hang your hat on take this Shake Milton quote for some optimism:
#Sixers' Shake Milton on Joel Embiid: “I know whenever Game 1 comes around and he’s available, I know he’s gonna dominate like he always does. With Jo, it’s nothing you really have to worry about. He’s getting his work in and he’s going to be prepared.”

Seems like Shake knows something the fans don’t. Maybe the Sixers are carrying out a little gamesmanship.
