All Mike Lombardi does is miss when it comes to evaluating Eagles head coaches:

Lets go to the tale of the tape:

Nick Sirianni’s coaching career (42 Games): .714 winning %, 1 Super Bowl appearance, 4 playoff games, 1 Conference Championship

Josh McDaniels’ coaching career (53 Games): .377 winning %, 0 Super Bowl appearances, 0 playoff games, 0 Conference Championships, 2 firings.

Nice one, dumbass!

Then you consider Josh McDaniels re-negged on his Colts offer after he was hired because Jim Irsay took an hour long deuce in his bathroom. It’s the shit that rewrote history. If that deuce never happens Frank Reich stays with the Eagles and we win back to back Super Bowls.

Every time the Eagles hire a new coach and Mike Lombardi hates it you know that coach is going to be successful. It happened with Doug Pederson when he called him, “the least qualified to coach a team than anyone I’ve ever seen in my 30-plus years in the NFL.” The best part about that is its now immortalized in one of the greatest speeches of all time:

This is how Howie and Jeffrey Lurie should run coaching decisions from now on. Bring Mike on as a consultant and have him sit in the room with them while they conduct interviews. If Lombardi absolutely hates them that’s the guy for the job.

UPDATE: This is starting to all make sense. Mick Lombardi, the now former Raiders OC, is Mike’s son:

He was coaching in New England with McDaniels as the assistant QB and wide receivers coach. You hate to see Lombardi invited on these programs to spout “football knowledge” when it’s just opinions to get his son a job. Silver spoon analysis.
