I’ve seen a little bit of criticism of AJ Brown for not talking after the game on Monday night:

Words like “leader”, “diva”, “selfish.”

Those are being passed around on social media:

My official statement on the matter:

Eagles fans should be worshiping the ground AJ Brown stands on. Same with DeVonta Smith as well. We went 10 years without a receiver eclipsing 1,000 yards. We had that one year Carson Wentz threw for 4,000 yards and no receiver had more than 500. Do you want to go back to that? Have you forgotten what that felt like? Enjoy it. This is the type of shit you take from your receivers when they’re elite. You don’t think Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, and CeeDee Lamb all have a little bit of diva in them? It comes with the position. AJ isn’t the only one who doesn’t feel like talking:

Maybe he saw an article about his best friend being an “internal concern” this week and thought, “Fuck these guys. Whatever I say is going to get twisted.” Why say something you’re going to regret after an ugly game? He already called the coaches out last week. All he can do is get in more trouble. So shout out to him for using the lessons he’s trying to instill in his children for his job.

If can’t say nothing nice don’t say nothing at all.” – T̶h̶u̶m̶p̶e̶r̶  AJ Brown

Plus DeVonta said everything that needed to be said anyway:
