Rob Thomson Didn’t Watch One Pitch of the World Series Because “It Hurt Too Much”

Rob Thomson couldn’t stomach watching one pitch of the World Series because it “hurt too much” –

Well it must’ve hurt too much for a lot of people, because it was the least-watched World Series of all time. I watched it (i.e. had it on in the background), but it was still borderline masochism. Like taking 23 lashes. One for every plate appearance Nick Castellanos couldn’t get a hit for to end the NLCS.

I’m happy to bring you up to speed though, Rob. Corey Seager won MVP. He’s very, very boring. Take Bryce Harper, make him less handsome, and 100x less charismatic and you have Seager. Your former player Travis Jankowski plays for them now. George Bush threw out the first pitch in Game 1 (bounced it). Remember when Zac Gallen trolled Phillies fans after not winning one game in the NLCS? Didn’t win any in the World Series neither. Crazy, right? Also, they clinched in Arizona and the security blocked the pool so you guys wouldn’t have been able to swim in it whether you won the NLCS or not. There’s the CliffsNotes.

It sucked.

So do me a favor, Rob. Never make us sit through a World Series like that again.
