A hot topic this week is whether Jalen Hurts had Nick Sirianni’s back when he was asked about the future. I don’t even think the biggest Jalen homer could argue he gave Nick a vote of confidence there:

Now listen, Jalen Hurts doesn’t give the media more than 5-7 word answers in between similes and metaphors so who knows if behind closed doors him and Nick have a close relationship or not. But if you believe Tim McManus’ report about his disappointment in the direction of the offense, you can definitely understand why he answered the way he did. The reports we got before the game Monday morning felt like a lot of coaches and players getting in front of the impending doom that was about to take place.

If you compare Hurts’ answer to Dak Prescott’s, who was basically asked the same question, you can see a guy who actually seems to be on the same page as his coach:

Maybe it’s the game plan or the play calling. Maybe Sirianni’s cockiness wore thin:

I just know that if the franchise QB doesn’t want you back chances are Sirianni is gone soon. We might’ve seen the first thread being unraveled.
