David Moore writes about the Cowboys for the Dallas morning news:

Ron Rivera? Riverboat Ron? The guy who lost his fastball years ago and led the Commanders to zero winning seasons? That would be awesome. Like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Washington takes Dallas’ overrated defensive coordinator and Dallas takes Washington’s overrated head coach. That’s great for the Eagles and the Giants.

Obviously we have no clue how the Cowboys are viewing this thing, but Jerry Jones is the type of guy to hire Ron Rivera to be his DC. He could have an innovative, young, exciting guy who is interested in the job and pass over that person to instead hire some washed former Commie. And no disrespect to Rivera the person, because he seems like a decent dude, but are the Commies any better now than they were when Jay Gruden left? That’s a serious question. And I’m not talking about the off-field stuff, because Dan Snyder taking a hike is a big deal. They removed a lot of toxicity from that franchise, but they still stink. They don’t have a quarterback, the skill players are just okay, the defense is nothing special, and they are not a free agent destination.

Other than that, Washington is in great shape.
