Last year, the Phils cancelled and we ended up having a beautiful 80 degree day. This year it looks like it’s gonna be shit, so might as well cancel it early so people aren’t driving all the way down to the stadium and then being told to leave. Friday will be mostly sunny but with up to 25 mph wind gusts.
I’ve got a question: Why is baseball being played in March anyway? The weather sucks. Honestly, any night game in April sucks. Push back the league start one week. What they really should do is shorten the season, but that’s a story for another day. But if they don’t want to do that, then do your best to start the first week on the road or in a dome for anyone above the Mason-Dixon line. The Cubs next week will be playing the Rockies at night with a low of 36. Fun! Toronto, who has a dome, is traveling to Tampa Bay. Why not split up the White Sox series and have Detroit in Toronto and the Sox down in Tampa? The Angels are leaving sunny LA to travel to Baltimore. MLB scheduling doesn’t make any sense.
