Patrick Corbin has become a popular pitcher in the betting community over the last few years.

He’s a must-fade pitcher that goes out there every five days, gets shelled, and eats up five-to-six innings for the Washington Nationals.

The Phillies, fresh off two double-digit run totals in a row, get to line up against the Nationals’ southpaw on Friday night at Citizens Bank Park.

You aren’t betting the hefty money line price that lies anywhere between -270 and -290 XXX, but the player props have tremendous value.

Corbin is 2-12 with a 5.98 ERA. He comes into Friday with a 6.68 road ERA and a .350 batting average against on the road with 19 home runs allowed.

In his last road start, Corbin conceded 11 runs on 13 hits in just three innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He wasn’t much better at home in his last two starts after the shellacking in Arizona. He gave up four earned runs each to the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Angels.

The Phillies lineup has a tremendous history against Corbin and got four earned runs off nine hits versus the left-hander back in April.

Alec Bohm, J.T. Realmuto, and Kyle Schwarber all have two career home runs off Corbin.

Bohm and Schwarber should be heavily bet by the public on Friday. Bohm kills lefties and went yard for a three-run bomb off a southpaw on Thursday night. Schwarber has the rare set of incredible splits for a left-handed batter versus a left-handed thrower.

Realmuto only has one home run in August, but his recent at-bats suggest he may be due for a big game.

The Phillies catcher enters on a four-game hit streak and has a hit in five of his last six games. He’s got a .371 batting average in 35 career at-bats against Corbin.

A Schwarber/Bohm/Realmuto 2+ total bases parlay pays out around +500 depending on which book you use.

If you wanted to get wild with those three hitters, a home run parlay is somewhere between +9500 and +10000. Schwarber has the lowest home run odds of anyone in Friday’s game, while Bohm and Realmuto are both priced over +400.

Bryce Harper and Bryson Stott each have batting averages over .300 in more than 10 at-bats against Corbin as well, but neither has a home run against the Nationals pitcher.

As for the Phillies’ pitching, Aaron Nola should give them a solid outing, just like Zack Wheeler did on Thursday, but there’s a chance he goes under his outs prop of 18.5.

Nola has not gone further than the sixth inning since his June 29th outing against the Miami Marlins. However, he did go seven innings against the Nats at home back in May.

Nola’s strikeout prop of 5.5 is intriguing as well because he’s had exactly four punch outs in four of his last five appearances. He had six in the other start of that run. He only fanned the Nats on five occasions back in May, and if you remember last night, Wheeler had to battle to get to six Ks. The under could be the play if opt for that prop.

However, the history of both pitchers suggests that hitter props will be the money makers on Friday night.
