This is a crazy story I can’t believe isn’t getting more attention. The Washington Post has written like one article on it and it’s in their backyard. ESPN, Bleacher Report, and Yahoo! buried it between the latest betting picks and another Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift story. I didn’t even know about it until I was scrolling TikTok Sunday during the shitty 4 o’clock window. If you didn’t hear, last week the Washington Commanders fired an employee after he was secretly recorded on multiple dates by a ‘journalist’ he met on a dating app, saying Jerry Jones runs the NFL, African-American players come from low income backgrounds and are homophobic, the white players on the roster are, too, NFL fans are mouth breathers, and the social justice reforms the NFL implements are BS. The Commanders have fired an employee one day after a video surfaced in which he made comments about the team’s players being anti-gay, accused Cowboys owner Jerry Jones of being racist and called NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a “$50 million puppet.”

Rael Enteen, Washington’s vice president of content the previous four years, also criticized fans and called them “mouth breathers.”

Enteen told the undercover reporter that “over 50% of our roster is white religious, and God says, ‘F— the gays.’ Their interpretation. I don’t buy any of that. Another big chunk is low-income African Americans that comes from a community that is inherently very homophobic.”

He also said, “I don’t think the commissioner of the NFL hates gay people, hates black people. Jerry Jones, who really runs the NFL, I think he hates gay people, black people.”

Enteen, who was with the Jets for two years before coming to Washington, called the league’s social justice initiatives “performative.”

“It’s not done out of the goodness of their heart,” he said. “It’s done because George Floyd changed the game. … It’s to make as much money as possible. The NFL cares about the bottom line, like any corporation, above all else.”

Enteen said that because the league makes so much money, it “can faux-prioritize DEI for the sake of good publicity.”

He also said on the video that “most of the fans are high-school-educated alcoholics” and called them “mouth breathers.”

Is it hard to employ a guy in your organization after he said on camera every dirty little secret the NFL doesn’t want fans to know? Of course. We just saw the NFL make an example out of Darius Slay last week after his Brazil comments. Still, I want to know how the Commies aren’t getting more shit for firing this guy. How are all the lawyers in DC not coming to this guy’s defense to sue the ever-living shit out of Josh Harris and the team? I feel like this would be a major story if this video didn’t drop the day before the NFL season came back.

Why is no journalist talking about this? I mean there is no one who likes to defend journalism more than journalists and there is nobody who likes to call journalists out on their ethics more than other journalists. The guy literally thought he was on a date and the entire time he was being secretly recorded by this scumbag at O’Keefe Media Group. Sidenote: The guy who runs O’Keefe Media Group founded Project Veritas. I don’t know much about that company, but he was sued so many times and lost, even by his own company, that they cut ties with him, so can’t really say he’s got the greatest morality when it comes to these things.

If we’re going to secretly start recording people on dates or in their living room and not come together as a society to ridicule the people that do it so badly they have to move to another country then no one is going to have a job. Imagine all the dumb shit you’ve said around friends in private. You’d be fired from in a second. And it’s not like anything he said is that far fetched that any normal NFL fan couldn’t wrap their heads around. Now this dude has had his life completely ruined by some scumbag reporter.
