The rare exciting Thursday Night Football game takes place as the Week 2 opener.

I will warn you to not look at the rest of the TNF schedule, because it sucks, and to just enjoy the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

Miami is listed as a 2.5-point favorite. However, Buffalo holds the upper hand in the AFC East rivalry. The Bills put up 69 points on the Dolphins in two meetings last season.

Two years ago, the Bills went 2-1 against the Dolphins and put 66 combined points in their two victories.

The over/under is set at 48.5 for Thursday night. Three of the last five head-to-head meetings featured at least 50 points.

We know Tua Tagovailoa is going to throw deep to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, who both had 100 receiving yards in Week 1, but Buffalo is a bit of an unknown through the air right now.

Josh Allen doesn’t have Stefon Diggs anymore. Khalil Shakir, rookie Keon Coleman, Mack Hollins (!!!!), and tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox are his top targets.

Allen threw for over 300 yards in each of his two meetings with Miami last season, but Diggs was responsible for 207 of those yards.

Shakir did have a 100-yard receiving game against Miami in 2023, but he played second fiddle to Coleman in Week 1. Coleman led Bills wide outs in targets, catches and yards.

Coleman’s props currently sit at over/under 3.5 receptions and over/under 43.5 receiving yards. That’s probably the lowest those numbers will be for the rest of the season if he continues to be the No. 1 wide receiver target.

Kincaid and Knox, who had one reception each in Week 1, are the other ideal pass-catchers to target. Kincaid had 11 catches against the Dolphins in 2023, while Knox scored once against Miami and is one of Allen’s go-to guys in the red zone.

The touchdown scorer props aren’t great in terms of value because of the stars on both sides, but Knox at +550 to score is the top value play on the board. DraftKings is offering a No Sweat Touchdown Scorer bet. Knox is the perfect player for that promotion because you’d rather use a No Sweat bet on a long shot than Tyreek Hill at -125 or Josh Allen at -110.

Kincaid should be more of a target for receptions and receiving yards. Like Coleman, his numbers of over/under 4.5 receptions and over/under 43.5 receiving yards will probably the lowest they’ll be for the rest of the season.

Kincaid and Coleman to have 40+ receiving yards are good pieces for FanDuel’s No Sweat Same Game Parlay. You can reach the +400 minimum for the FanDuel SGP by adding Tyreek Hill 6+ receptions and Jaylen Waddle 4+ receptions.

Hill and Waddle are the two sure things inside the Miami offense. The rushing attack has a question mark because Raheem Mostert is out and De’Von Achane is a game-time decision.

Hill had seven catches on 12 targets and Waddle caught all five of his targets in Week 1. Waddle had at least four receptions in 13 of 14 games he played in 2023. Hill had at least six catches on 13 occasions in 2023.

BetMGM is offering a cashback on your first touchdown scorer bet if he scores the second touchdown of the game and Bet365 has an offer where you bet $50 on TNF and get $10 back for every touchdown scored. That’s the nice thing about the early NFL weeks. There are plenty of PA betting promos and NJ sportsbook promos to juice up your wagers.
