They’re going blue on blue on blue for this year’s NBA Cup. Instead of 50 Shades of Gray it’ll be three shades of blue. Or is it four? This is where the partial colorblindness kicks in.

You’ll recall that last year’s floor was a sanguine abomination that gave everyone a headache. The red-on-navy resulted in player reflections and turned everything into a blurry cluster F. It just felt like a strain to process everything that was taking place on the court, almost like your eyes and brain had to work harder to discern what you were actually looking at. At least this new court has a consistent color palette and the only real clash is the trophy-looking design inside the key. Ain’t nobody trying to watch this again:
