Darius Slay is on the record saying he wants to play one more NFL season. After being released by the Eagles, Acho asked him, money being equal, which team he would prefer to play for in 2025:

Slay said a few weeks ago that he’d prefer Philly or Detroit to wrap it up. He wants to play one more season. In this clip, if both teams offer him one year, X amount of dollars, he’s going with Philly. But if neither team wants him, he could always take a different dollar amount to play somewhere else. He also has the option of straight up retiring if the ideal offer doesn’t materialize.

The Eagles obviously have Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and Kelee Ringo in the mix. Isaiah Rodgers is a restricted free agent. You feel good about the secondary whether or not Slay comes back for another year. Detroit was injury wracked at the end of last season and they’re going into this one with Terrion Arnold, Amik Robertson, and Ennis Rakestraw. Carlton Davis is a free agent and they decided not to tag him, so he joins the open market mix with Charvarius Ward, D.J. Reed, Byron Murphy, and others.
