Jimmy Rollins was on Foul Territory offering a little insight into his conversations with Bryce Harper. If you don’t want to hear about the ’08 team, go win it:

You know it eats at Harp that he hasn’t been back to the World Series in two years. Now we’ve got confirmation. He definitely HATES seeing the photos of Brad Lidge celebrating on the wall everyday. He probably can’t even look at the World Series trophy in the case whenever he walks by it. He wants to strangle every person who talks about how magical that season was. I love it. Keep the fire in the belly burning. We’ve already seen reports that he’d move back to the outfield if they need to sign a star first baseman. He’s also moved out of his preferred spot in the 3-hole during Spring Training. That’s a guy in his 14th year still wanting to compete. He’ll do whatever it takes for his own parade.

You could see this question about the Eagles winning it all twisted the knife a little bit:

“I heard it’s the best thing in the world.” Oof. This guy wants it badly. Go win it, baby. That’s the early mantra of this team. Personally I’m skeptical of this season. My early thought was just taking it as it goes and not having high expectations. The Mets are good, the Braves are healthier, and the Dodgers have a super team. It’s going to take a lot of things to go the Phillies way if they want to get back to the Fall Classic. In a strange way the Phillies are kind of back to being scrappy underdogs again – as much as a top-3 payroll in baseball can be an underdog anyway. But that’s where I think these guys and fans feel comfortable. The ironic thing is he’ll probably have to hear more EAGLES chants this year than ’08 talk and if that fires him up keep ’em coming.
