Mike Florio with a very astute observation about the Super Bowl:

“When you go back and look at the Super Bowl, before it’s 24-nothing it’s 0-0, and there are moments where… I feel like it could have gone either way. Are there any moments that stick out to you like, ‘if this just happened here, it could have been different’?”

Big Red with the classic “could have put the guys in a better situation.” Then he talks about abandoning the run and losing balance in play calling. The Chiefs went punt/punt/punt with their first three possessions and ran the ball a grand total of one time with Kareem Hunt. Then they went pick 6/punt/interception and ran the ball two times during those three series. So they ran the ball three times before they found themselves down 24-0 and their running backs carried the ball seven times total throughout the game.

In an effort to be nice to Florio and give him the benefit of the doubt, I guess you could say that the game was still within reach for the Chiefs for much of the first half. The Eagles opened with a punt, scored on their second drive, then Jalen Hurts threw the pick and they settled for a field goal. So KC was only down 10-0 midway through the second quarter despite going punt/punt/punt with their first three drives. Whether or not that amounts to the game “going either way” is up for determination, because the Eagles D was smothering the Chiefs so badly that KC had not even crossed midfield at that point and only had one first down.

On the other hand, this is the same Mike Florio who tried to get the Eagles in trouble for ALLEGEDLY tampering with Saquon Barkley. He has complained nonstop about Lane Johnson’s get off and is generally whiny, so keep that in mind when forming an opinion here.
